He suggests that there are several aspects to specialty drug management, including the optimization of clinical care, cost sharing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and patient assistance programs. By implementing 4 specific strategies, Prime Therapeutics saved their members $21 million through copay offsets. An estimated 19,000 members also benefited from copay coupons.
