Key opinion leaders explore the clinical and economic burden of dementia-related psychosis and the unmet medical need.

Gary W. Small, MD, considers the burden of dementia-related psychosis for patients and their caregivers. Then, key opinion leader, Stephen A. Brunton, MD, discusses the role of caregiver engagement and outreach in managing patients with dementia-related psychosis and reviews the prevalence of neuropsychiatric symptoms in patients with dementia. Lastly, Dr Small discusses the challenges in disease management and patient considerations for pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions.
