Kevin U. Stephens, Sr, JD, MD, provides a payer perspective on the unmet needs in the management of dementia-related psychosis. He then provides an overview of quality measures monitored for patients with dementia, including cognitive assessment, functional status, neuropsychiatric symptoms, and depressive symptoms. Dr Stephens next discusses the systems in place to ensure quality care for patients with dementia and the importance of reimbursement for comprehensive clinical visits in the evaluation and diagnosis of dementia-related psychosis.
