Dr. Bruce Cree Speaks About Relationship Between Managed Care Organizations and Subspecialists

Dr. Bruce Cree, Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology, Department of Neurology, University of California San Francisco, speaks to why he believes managed care organizations should provide an additional level of deference to the opinions of subspecialists over primary care physicians.

Dr. Cree states that he would like to see managed care organizations take recommendations from specialists to a higher degree. When a patient sees a subspecialst, as opposed to their PCP, they are receiving a different level of expertise.
