The success of these strategies hinge on the concepts of convenience for the patient and better involvement from the pharmacist and the provider, she explained.
“I think that if the patient really understands the impact of the drug or the treatment on their condition, I think they’re more likely to want to start their medication regime,” Harner says. “So I think those are 2 potential solutions.”
