Although the healthcare sector will hire at a faster pace in 2015, the outlook for growth in hospital employment is modest, at best.

Although the healthcare sector will hire at a faster pace in 2015, it will be uneven throughout the industry. While a healthier economy and a shrinking uninsured population will fuel an increased demand for routine and discretionary services, the outlook for growth in hospital employment is modest.

In fact, many hospitals will be reducing staff or holding the line on adding new employees.

While hospital hiring will be slow or at a standstill, that's not the case elsewhere. Hiring at outpatient facilities and ambulatory surgical centers will continue its rapid growth and home healthcare's need for personal aides will continue to mushroom.
