Employers who manage the high cost of care associated with specialty pharmacy face a number of challenges that are being addressed by the National Employer Initiative on Specialty Pharmacy, Cheryl Larson, BA, vice president of the Midwest Business Group on Health, said at the AMCP’s 27th Annual Meeting & Expo in San Diego, April 7-10.

“We know that we’ve done a pretty good job providing additional information and awareness to the average employer, but nobody is talking to the average consumer about this new world of high-cost drugs,” she explained.
