Dr. Joshua Bershad Discusses RWJUH's Stance on Clinical Pathways

Article

Dr. Joshua Bershad, Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ, discusses why evidence-based medicine, proper technologies and tracking protocols must be in place for clinical pathways to be effective from a managed care perspective.

Dr. Bershad also explains that RWJUH makes it a practice to invest in the latest surgical technologies because it leads to better quality of care and less time in the hospital, which provides the opportunity to reduce costs.
