WellPoint Inc is planning on changing its name to Anthem Inc to eliminate brand confusion and better connect with consumers. Chief executive officer, Joeseph Swedish told The Wall Street Journal,
"There's been a major pivot" to a more consumer-focused approach, said Joseph R. Swedish, the company's chief executive. The Anthem brand is better-recognized among consumers, and "we're not going to swim upstream any longer."
