Dr. Scott Gottlieb On the Need for More Regulations in Government-Funded Studies

Dr. Scott Gottlieb, MD, Resident Fellow, American Enterprise Institute; Senior Advisor, Avalere, addresses the need for more regulations in government funded studies. He also discusses possible misleading conclusions due to incentives that attempt to demonstrate a certain outcome from a study.

Dr. Gottlieb states that conclusions of clinical studies can be over interpreted and results can be overstated when they are government financed. He addresses the need to set uniform standards in terms of how government funded studies will speak about results, and on how CER research is going to be done in the future.
