Schaecher, MD, FACP, CPC, and Yehuda Handelsman, MD, FACP, FACE, FNLA, agree that medicine is at an exciting era in the US, as new innovations provide additional tools to help coordinate care between clinicians and their patients. However, Dr Handelsman reminds that the US needs to develop programs that help pay for the expensive costs of healthcare.
Michael Weber, MD, concludes the discussion by defining preventive medicine and explains its importance when managing cardiometabolic conditions.
