What advice do you have for practices looking to participate in OCM?

Don’t underestimate the power that it takes to make sure a value-based program is working. Definitely invest in the infrastructure, invest in the capital, the personnel, because it’s imperative to make sure that the measures are met. It’s important to make sure they’re understood and being able to translate that into real life operational procedures is kind of a task in itself, not just entering into the agreement; you have to be able to operationalize it otherwise it’s not going to be successful.

I think it’s worth the investment, and I would strongly encourage somebody to do so, but do it with the preparation. It’s going to take some hard work to get it moving forward in the practice.
