CRANBURY, N.J.--The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®) presents Dr. Shantanu Agrawal and Clay Alspach as the featured speakers for the upcoming ACO & Emerging Healthcare Delivery Coalition® fall 2017 meeting on October 26-27 at the Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown in Nashville, Tennessee.

Shantanu Agrawal, MD, MPhil, president and chief executive officer of the National Quality Forum, will deliver the plenary presentation on the first day of the meeting. Dr. Agrawal is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who has played a vital role in the evolution of U.S. healthcare policies and initiatives, including improving physician experience and value of care, and tackling the opioid epidemic. He is the former deputy administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and former director of its Center for Program Integrity, during the Obama administration.
The second day’s plenary presentation will be delivered by Clay Alspach, principal at Leavitt Partners in Washington, D.C. Alspach specializes in healthcare policy and advocacy related to the Food and Drug Administration, health information technology, Medicare, and Medicaid; he is able to address the Affordable Care Act repeal and replace efforts both from political and procedural perspectives. Previously, he served as the chief health counsel for Rep. Fred Upton (R-Michigan), chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee.
