Whether from HHS or large health systems and payers, there are increasingly available data sources for people in big data analytics. Now researchers are looking not only at healthcare value, but influences on health and how providers can intervene.

“We’ve introduced a new technology into healthcare,” she said. “The more we understand about how it’s improving care, or improving the safety of care, or having some kind of interactive role in quality and safety, the better off we’ll all be.”
