Dr. Niteesh Choudhry Discusses Value-Based Insurance Design [Part 4 of 4]

Article

Dr. Niteesh Choudhry, Associate Professor, Harvard Medical School, Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics in Boston, talks about the overwhelmingly positive feedback he has received from his colleagues about the significance of VBID, even when factoring in the suggested limitations from the myocardial infarction study.

In this segment, Dr. Choudhry discusses how the rigorous research methods that were applied in this VBID study proved valuable in several ways that transcends cost, such as highlighting the magnitude of nonadherence, and the need for physicians to understand that their work isn’t done once they’ve made the decision to prescribe.
