What opportunities are there for future improvement of medication management strategies?

I think there’s a lot of room to move in terms of improving management of medications; we have a long way to go. I think, probably, what’s really important next steps is not treating each strategy in isolation, but thinking about bundles of strategies or strategies that cross multiple domains that deal with not just, for example, for medication reconciliation, but merge issues related to medication reconciliation, patient understanding, patient empowerment, etc. We’re not just focusing on electronic reminders to doctors but integrating that with coordination of care across doctors and more patient facing things, as well. So, it’s really building multiple pieces of the puzzle, which I think is where we need to be going.
