New Research Challenges Assumptions About Hospital-Physician Integration, Medicare Patient Mix

His study, "Impact of Hospital-Physician Integration on Medicare Patient Mix," found no evidence that hospital-employed physicians treated a higher proportion of complex patients, at least among those enrolled in traditional Medicare.
