How can partnerships like OneOncology help community practices adapt to the rapidly changing and complex cancer care and diagnostic landscape?
OneOncology is a new company that’s physician-led an technology-driven that will allow practices around the country to come together to share best practices to use a common technology platform from the electronic medical record perspective and allow those practices to adapt to the changes in oncology. Those changes have really been dramatic over the last few years and are accelerating now. Whether it’s on the clinical side where every cancer is becoming more complex, OneOncology will deliver the tools to help practitioners and community oncologists deliver the best care possible for state-of-the-art care for their patients.
In addition, OneOncology will allow growth of the practices at a local level because every practices stays as an independent tax ID. So, there’s an overlay, but the practice at the local level knows their local environment best compared to anyone else. OneOncology will also be moving very forcefully into the value-based care and value-based reimbursement world by delivering the tools which will allow practices to understand their costs and understand everything that’s going on in the practice whether it’s clinical, financial, or administrative, so they can be best prepared to move into a world where risk is shared with the practice.
