The article states the Noritz’s research did not focus on the direct impact of care coordinators on healthcare costs and quality, instead referencing an AJMC® study, “The Ingredients of Success in a Medicare Accountable Care Organization.” The authors of that research found that nurse care coordinators in 1 accountable care organization helped to identify and minimize wasteful spending.”
