An article in Becker’s Hospital Review referenced a 2018 study published in The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The study, “Data Breach Locations, Types, and Associated Characteristics Among US Hospitals,” found that despite the high level of hospital adoption of electronic health records and the federal incentives to do so, the most common type of data breach in hospitals occurred with paper records and films.
Advisory Board’s The Daily Briefing included an article on AJMC.com, the website of AJMC®. The article, “HHS Releases Proposal to Reform Stark Law, Antikickback Rules,” reported on HHS’ plan to reform federal antikickback statutes and overhaul the so-called Stark Law to speed the transition to value-based care.
A piece published in AJMC®'s Evidence-Based Oncology™, was cited by Health Data Management. The piece, “Riding the Wave Through Chemo: Cancer Journey Leads to chemoWave App for Reporting PROs,” offered the personal anecdote of a cancer diagnosis that led to chemoWave, an app for recording patient-reported outcomes.
The Chicago Sentinel highlighted a 2015 supplement to AJMC® in its article on transplant diagnostic services. The supplement, “Solid Organ Transplantation Overview and Selection Criteria,” provides an overview of the most common solid organ transplantations performed, along with the requirements, risks, and complications associated with them.
The National Pharmaceutical’s Tuesday daily newsfeed included AJMC®’s interview with James Hamrick, MD, senior medical director at Flatiron Health, in which he discussed progress with the healthcare system practicing patient-centered care.
