UNC Hospital is a nearly 1000-bed non-profit academic medical center located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The medical center is the academic hub of the UNC Health System, offering a wide range of clinical services, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Cancer Center, Pediatric Center of Excellence, Regional Stroke and Hemophilia Centers, and many more. The pharmacy department employs an integrated model of practice, including operations, acute and ambulatory clinical services, finance/business oversight, medication policy/optimization, and academic/research enterprises. The hospital also houses over 40 pharmacy residents, spread across over a dozen different programs. The department enjoys a strong partnership with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
