The study, “Coverage With Evidence Development: Where Are We Now?” reviewed how CMS could improve its coverage with evidence development policy by increasing program transparency and clarifying the requirements and timelines for reporting.
A news roundup by the Healthcare Association of New York State highlighted a study published in the March 2023 issue of AJMC. The study, “Trends in Sepsis and Pneumonia During COVID-19: Lessons from BPCIA,” analyzed the changes in cost and utilization for sepsis or pneumonia episodes not related to COVID-19 prior to and during the pandemic as well as during the pandemic in patients with and without COVID-19.
