In the article, “Incorporating Telemedicine as Part of COVID-19 Outbreak Response Systems,” 2 attorneys from the international firm Jones Day highlighted that healthcare providers should revisit disaster response policies to incorporate telemedicine systems to address some of the unique challenges posed by infectious disease outbreaks such as coronavirus disease 2019.
An article by HIT Consultant cited a contributor article published on AJMC.com, the website of AJMC®. The article, “The ROI of Addressing Social Determinants of Health,” found that by using a novel return-on-investment model and calculator, healthcare professionals can illustrate the financial impact of investing in a software tailored to address social determinants of health, which can lead to reductions in readmissions from leading medical conditions and, ultimately, cost savings for the hospital.
