An article in Express Healthcare Management referenced a study published in the November 2023 issue of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The study, “All-Payer Value-Based Contracting in Organizations With Medicare ACOs,” found that approximately 75% of providers had reported value-based contracts with commercial and Medicare Advantage plans alongside their Medicare accountable care organization contract.
A study entitled “Characteristics of Self-Triaged Emergency Department Visits by Adults With Cancer,” published in the September 2023 issue of AJMC, was referenced in an article from Healio. The study found that self-assessment of clinical severity of acute needs could be difficult in adults with cancer but those adults would rarely use a telephone triage line.
An article from Forbes referenced a study published in the March 2010 issue of AJMC. The study, “Economics of Influenza Vaccine Administration Timing for Children,” reported that vaccinating children for influenza in September or October could have an economic benefit to both society and third-party payers, with this economic benefit lasting through December.
