An article by HealthLeaders cited a study published in the January 2022 issue of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The study, “Addressing Virtual Care Disparities for Patients With Limited English Proficiency,” provided recommendations to address disparities for patients with limited English proficiency amid growing use of virtual care due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was also cited by The Cardiology Advisor.
HealthPayerIntelligence referenced a study published in the February 2022 issue of AJMC®, titled, “Value-Based Care Through Postacute Home Health Under CMS PACT Regulations.” The study showed that among a patient population defined by CMS postacute care transfer regulations, home health vs no postacute care was associated with reduced 30-day readmissions and costs.
A study published in the December 2021 issue of AJMC®, titled, “Availability of Prices for Shoppable Services on Hospital Internet Sites,” was cited in an article by Healthcare Finance. The study found that many hospitals are in violation of new federal legislation requiring the display of cash prices and minimum negotiated charges on their public websites.
A piece by BestLife featured an article published on AJMC.com, the website of AJMC®. The article, “Investigation Explores Relationship Between Psoriasis and Autoimmune Disorders,” indicated that patients with psoriasis may be more likely to have additional autoimmune disorders, including vitiligo, diabetes, autoimmune thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease.
