A piece by Fox News referenced an article published on AJMC.com, the website of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The article, “Violence Against Healthcare Workers: A Rising Epidemic,” found that 75% of nearly 25,000 workplace assaults occur annually in health care settings, with more attention needed to address increasing rates of violence against employees in the field of health care. The article was also cited in a newscast by CBS Philly.
An article by Brainerd Dispatch cited an article by AJMC®’s sister site The Center for Biosimilars®, titled, “Report: The United States Could Save $54 Billion Through Biosimilars.” The article highlighted RAND Corporation report findings that estimated the cost-saving potential of biosimilars at $54 billion over 10 years, or about 3% of total estimated biologic spending over the same period, with a lower- to upper-bound range of $25 billion to $150 billion.
An article by The Heartland Institute spotlighted a study published in the December 2012 issue of AJMC® titled, “Personalized Preventive Care Leads to Significant Reductions in Hospital Utilization.” The study assessed the impact of the MDVIP personalized preventive care model on hospital utilization and found the MDVIP members' rates were substantially lower than nonmembers'.
