An article by Becker's Hospital Review cited a study published in the January 2022 Health Information Technology (IT) special issue of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The study, “Understanding Physicians’ Work via Text Analytics on EHR Inbox Messages,” leveraged text analytics to identify work themes managed by primary care physicians in their electronic health record inbox messages and inform managers on workflow redesign. The study was also mentioned in a piece by EHRIntelligence.
A piece by mHealthIntelligence referenced another study published in the January 2022 Health IT special issue of AJMC®, titled “Addressing Virtual Care Disparities for Patients With Limited English Proficiency.” The study provided recommendations that address disparities for patients with limited English proficiency following the increase in use of virtual care due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A study published online ahead of print from the July 2022 issue of AJMC®, titled “Projected US Savings From Biosimilars, 2021-2025,” was spotlighted in an article by HealthDay. Findings of the study indicated that projected savings from biosimilars from 2021 to 2025 were $38.4 billion vs conditions as of quarter 4 of 2020 and were driven by new biosimilar entry.
