A piece by MacDailyNews cited an article published on AJMC.com, the website of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The article, “Apple Watch Effective in Monitoring Symptoms of Parkinson Disease,” indicated that an Apple Watch designed to remotely monitor fluctuations of resting tremor and dyskinesia in persons with Parkinson disease matched in-clinic evaluations of these symptoms and captured symptom changes in response to treatment for 94% of participants.

An article by Healthcare Innovation referenced a study published by AJMC®’s sister journal The American Journal of Accountable Care®. The study, “ACO REACH Brings Next Era of Medicare Payment Models,” showed how a novel model provides a great opportunity in moving a health care payment system toward paying for value and rewarding preventive care and keeping patients healthy.
