A piece by Hospice News cited a study published in a December 2009 supplement to The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®) titled “Integrated Delivery Systems: The Cure for Fragmentation.” The study noted that while no single approach or public policy will fix the fragmented health care system, integrated delivery systems represent an important step in the right direction.

An article posted on moms.com referenced an article published on AJMC.com, the website of AJMC®. The article, “Over Time, Prescription Sleep Medicines for Middle-Aged Women Have Little Benefit,” found that long-term use of prescription sleep medications provided no benefit in a study of middle-aged women, suggesting the use of these drugs should be reevaluated.

An article by Good News Gum spotlighted a piece published on AJMC.com, titled “Study Details Prevalence of Concurrent Migraine, Rheumatic Diseases.” The piece covered study findings that indicated patients with rheumatic disease have a 2-fold increase in migraine prevalence and a 3-fold increase in neuropathic pain prevalence compared with the general population.

A piece by EconoTimes cited an article by AJMC®’s sister site The Center for Biosimilars®. The article, “Celltrion Healthcare Gains EU Authorization for High-Concentration Adalimumab,” noted that marketing of Yuflyma, the first high-concentration, citrate-free adalimumab biosimilar, is expected to give Celltrion Healthcare a significant advantage over existing adalimumab biosimilars.
