The study, “Cost-Effectiveness of Implementing a Home Blood Pressure Telemonitoring Program,” found that a home blood pressure telemonitoring program was able to reduce blood pressure in real-world clinical settings, but overall costs increased with program enrollment.
A study entitled, “Medicare Expenditures in the First Year of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Diagnosis,” published in the October 2025 issue of AJMC, was referenced in an article published in Arizona Capitol Times. The authors of the study concluded that patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis had Medicare expenditures that were 3 times higher than the average Medicare beneficiary.
