A piece by Healio cited a study published in the September issue of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The study, “Physician Response to COVID-19–Driven Telehealth Flexibility for Opioid Use Disorder,” found that COVID-19-driven telehealth exposure positively shifted physician respondents’ perceptions of telehealth effectiveness, with a majority of clinicians reportedly likely to continue use if temporary telehealth regulatory flexibility is permanently extended.

A study published in the AJMC® November issue, “Improving Risk Stratification Using AI and Social Determinants of Health” was referenced by HealthITAnalytics. The study showed that prediction models combining claims data with social determinants of health and additional, more-timely data sources using artificial intelligence (AI) can better identify individuals with the highest future medical spending.
