A letter by the editor-in-chief of The Daily Toreador referenced an article published on AJMC.com, the website of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The article, “FDA's Revised Blood Donation Guidance for Gay Men Still Courts Controversy,” addressed an announcement by the FDA that changed wait time restrictions on gay men being allowed to donate blood from 1 year to 3 months amid the pandemic.

An article by Sports Illustrated mentioned AJMC.com’s coverage of findings presented at the American Diabetes Association’s 80th Scientific Sessions. The piece, "Racial Disparities Persist in Maternal Morbidity, Mortality and Infant Health," noted that American women die in childbirth at a higher rate than in any other developed country, with non-Hispanic Black women found to be more than 3 times more likely to have a maternal death than White women in the United States.

An opinion piece in The San Bernardino Sun cited a study published in the July 2021 issue of AJMC®, titled “Reduced Medical Spending Associated With Integrated Pharmacy Benefits.” In the study, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana members covered by an integrated pharmacy benefit, as opposed to a pharmacy carve-out, experienced slower growth in medical spending.
