A piece on DOTmed’s Health Care Business news site referenced an article published on AJMC.com, the website of The American Journal of Managed Care®. The article, “Violence Against Healthcare Workers: A Rising Epidemic,” found that 75% of the nearly 25,000 workplace assaults each year occur in health care settings, and the problem is growing. The article was also cited by WHYY.

An article by The Modesto Bee spotlighted a piece published on AJMC.com, titled “US Ranks Worst in Maternal Care, Mortality Compared With 10 Other Developed Nations.” The piece focused on study findings indicating the United States has the highest maternal mortality rate, a relative undersupply of maternity care providers, and no guaranteed access to provider home visits or paid parental leave in the postpartum period compared with 10 other developed countries.
