ASCO Advocates for New Payment Models That Reward Quality of Care

The U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee has solicited ASCO’s feedback and input on strategies to overhaul the Medicare reimbursement system. In its response to the committee, the Society emphasizes the importance of oncologist-led quality improvement efforts such as QOPI, and encourages CMS to leverage ASCO’s existing programs as part of payment reform efforts.
