Cigna's Value-Based Initiative Finds Success

Primary care and obstetrician-gynecology (OB-GYN) practices that participated in Cigna's Collaborative Care initiative presented promising results. Cigna provides participating clinics and hospitals incentives that can help meet the triple aim of quality, affordability, and improved outcomes.

Within a year of participating in the program, an OB-GYN facility in Florida saw quite an improvement in its C-section delivery rate. Another clinic in Houston saw 93% patient satisfaction and improved its site of service rate for outpatient procedures by 9.5%.
