CMS Awards 5 Stars to Priority Health

Michigan-based Priority Health has been recognized for the strength of its Medicare Advantage (MA) plans with a 5-star rating from CMS for its HMO MA plan.

Grand Rapids, Michigan — Several of Priority Health's Medicare Advantage (MA) plans recently received high ratings through CMS' 2023 Medicare Star Ratings, with its HMO MA plan receiving 5 stars, the highest possible rating.

Also receving kudos were the PPO plan, which garnered 4.5 stars, and the Dual-eligible Special Needs plan, which received 4 stars. The rating is handed down following an evaluation of several categories, including managing chronic conditions, health plan customer service, and member experience with the health plan.

“These ratings show our commitment to ensuring our members get the care they need at an affordable cost,” said Joyce Chan Russell, senior vice president of government markets at Priority Health. “As a result of these ratings, Priority Health is a leader in quality and will continue offering better benefits and lower premiums for Medicare members.”
