Eight years ago, today, the Affordable Care Act was signed into law by President Barack Obama. In honor of the anniversary, we took a look at search trends of Affordable Care Act versus Obamacare over time, search interest for HealthCare.gov by state, and search interest in repeal and replace over time.
We found that the moniker "Obamacare" has way more search interest over the years and that while interest in repealing and replacing the health law picked up this time last year, when Congress was trying to pass legislation, interest petered out following the Senate's inability to pass legislation.
