An article in EHR Intelligence discussed the recent results of a survey of chief information officers with the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives that identified top priorities heading into 2018. The respondents named optimizing electronic health record (EHR) integration with other hospital systems as their top priority, and the article noted that integrating alerts into new technology will boost productivity. It called back to a study published in the November issue of The American Journal of Managed Care®, which found that use of EHR's clinical reminder functionality led to higher human papillomavirus vaccination rates.
