The article, “Pandemic Brings Racial, Economic Healthcare Disparities Into Focus,” highlighted how the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is slowly seeping into the nation’s economically vulnerable populations and is already taking a toll on minority communities.

An op-ed posted on The Daily Star cited an article published on AJMC.com, titled “How Has COVID-19 Affected Mental Health, Severity of Stress Among Employees?” The article highlighted findings of a recent survey by mental health provider Ginger, which reported that nearly 7 in 10 employees think the COVID-19 pandemic is the most stressful time of their entire professional career.
