A study published in the December 2012 issue of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®) spoke of the importance of emotional and practical support in promoting medical adherence. The study, “Association Between Different Types of Social Support and Medication Adherence,” was highlighted in an article by Stabroek News.

A blog post on drug pricing in Health Affairs highlighted 4 articles from AJMC®’s sister site The Center for Biosimilars®. The articles referenced included the following: “Amgen and Allergan Launch Mvasi and Kanjinti, the First Anticancer Biosimilars, in the United States,” “Mylan Confirms That It Has Launched Fulphila in the United States,” “Apobiologix Launches Pegfilgrastim Biosimilar in Canada,” and “Mundipharma Launches Biosimilar Pegfilgrastim in Germany, the Netherlands, and Ireland.”

An article appearing in Newsweek detailed the passage of the Workplace Violence Prevention for Healthcare and Social Service Workers Act in the US House of Representatives last Friday. The article referenced a 2019 AJMC® newsroom article titled “Violence Against Healthcare Workers: A Rising Epidemic,” which stressed that more attention is warranted to increasing rates of violence against employees in the field of healthcare.
