Priority Health, National Fitness Campaign Partnership Extended
Originally slated to conclude this year, Priority Health and the National Fitness Campaign will continue to collaborate to improve the health of the state's residents through at least the end of 2025.
Grand Rapids, Michigan — A fitness partnership that stared in 2019 between the National Fitness Campaign and Priority Health has now been extended through at least the end of 2025.
The outdoor Fitness Court and its accompanying app are the center of this initiative that is aiming to improve quality of life and fight obesity among Michigan communities, with current sites that include Grand Traverse County and Highland Park. Now running in over 15 communities, the extended 3-year partnership will be able to reach almost one-third of state residents who will have access to a Fitness Court within a 10-minute bikeride from their homes, as well as free, high-quality access to dozens of unique workouts through the app.
“Everyone has a right to a healthy life,” said Praveen Thadani, MS, MPH, president of Priority Health. “That is why our continuing partnership with National Fitness Campaign will offer opportunities for communities to host a Priority Health Fitness Court over the next three years. We are focused on communities that are experiencing health inequities so we can create a comfortable and stress-free environment for friends and neighbors.”
