With more than 1200 members, this personalized maternity management program is marking 2 years of providing care and decision support to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancies.
Grand Rapids, Michigan — Since 2021, PriorityMOM from Priority Health has worked to reduce potential pre- and postdelivery complications among it more than 1200 members, all of whom are expectant mothers enrolled in a Priority Health employer–sponsored, individual, or Medicaid health plan. Program goals include support throughout pregnancy and reducing maternity care–, preterm birth–, and postpartum readmission–related care costs.
“While pregnancy can be a beautiful journey, it is also a time of stressful change, both physically and mentally,” said Karen Meyerson, MSN, director of Commercial Care Management at Priority Health. “It is heartwarming and encouraging to see the positive impact the program is having on both mothers and their babies. Priority Health is committed to supporting this program and working alongside members and health providers by offering extra support to help prevent poor outcomes while reducing member cost.”
