Number 5: In a survey, employers indicated that they are taking a more activist role in delivering healthcare to their employees. They also expressed frustration with the pharmaceutical supply chain and said they expect to see a large uptake of virtual healthcare in the coming years.

Number 4: Ohio announced that it will end its contracts with all of its pharmacy benefit managers and start over with transparent ones.

Number 3: CMS announced that it will end the so-called 25% rule for long-term care hospitals and approved add-on payments estimated to cost about 72 million dollars for CAR T-cell therapy.

Number 2: Celyad’s Investigational New Drug application for CYAD-101 received FDA approval, making it the first non—gene-edited allogeneic clinical program for CAR T-cell therapy.

Number 1: During the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT’s second Interoperability Forum, CMS administrator Seema Verma painted a future where health data follows the patient and can be shared with a doctor at the click of a button.
