VA, Defense Department Name Leader of EHR Effort

According to a Defense Department memo (PDF), Butler will serve as "the single point of accountability" for two major EHR initiatives as director of the VA's and the Defense Department's Interagency Program Office.
Barclay Butler, a former Army Medical Department CIO and executive at Harris Corp., will lead an effort by the U.S. Defense and Veterans Affairs departments to update and connect the agencies' electronic health-record systems.Read the full story:
