Nilesh Desai, MBA, RPh, is chief pharmacy officer at University of Miami Health System (UHealth), where he oversees the strategy, integration, and delivery of pharmacy services across the academic health system, as well as the financial performance of the pharmacy enterprise. He stepped into the role in 2026.
He joined UHealth from Baptist Health, where as chief pharmacy officer he led pharmacy services across 8 hospitals along with infusion, specialty, and community pharmacy operations, and built a consolidated pharmacy service center that paired robotic fulfillment with conveyance, sortation, and automated packaging. Earlier in his career, he spent more than 2 decades at Hackensack University Medical Center, leading inpatient, outpatient, and retail pharmacy services.
