The study, “Value-Based Care Through Postacute Home Health Under CMS PACT Regulations,” found that the PACT policy could be lowering readmissions and reducing total expenditures in patients without a need of postacute care.

The commentary, “The Role of Managed Care Professionals in Improving Care for Patients With ALS,” discussed the role of gene therapy in potentially treating amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) as well as the challenges of its cost.

The article, “US Health Care System Ranks Last Overall Among Other High-Income Countries,” covered results from a report showing that the US health care system ranked last on equity, access to care, and outcome measures compared with 10 other high-income countries.
