Amy Berman, BS, RN, senior program officer at the John A. Hartford Foundation, says that the triple aim promotes better health, better care, and lower costs. All too often, however, current oncology treatment regimens do not acheive the triple aim. As a cancer survivor, Ms Berman understands the value that patient education and patient participation can have in helping oncologists to achieve the triple aim of care.
