In addition to offering patients the best available treatments, how important is it for oncology practices to offer clinical trials?

I think offering clinical trials is paramount. It’s kind of interesting because I’ve been in healthcare almost 30 years, but I think clinical research is crucial when it comes to medical oncology and I think practices that don’t offer clinical research as a part of their offering, quite frankly, I think isn’t first of mind for the physicians who are taking care of medical oncology patients. So, having the ability to offer clinical research trials for patients that aren’t progressing well with standard of care is just giving the patient the best fighting chance.

It’s been a huge differentiator for us, especially in Florida, because we compete with 3 academic medical centers who have clinical research. Being able to offer clinical research in the community setting is a phenomenal benefit to patients.
