Evidence-Based Oncology is an important forum to have conversations that are needed in medicine today, said Joseph Alvarnas, MD, the new editor-in-chief of the journal.

Physicians, nurses, payers, health systems, economists, and others have all existed in their own realms, he explained.

"The only to make the system work in ways which add value to our experience of care and care delivery is for us to break out of these silos and have honest conversations," Dr Alvarnas said.
