An article from TechZiffy cited an article on diabetic macular edema published in a supplement issue of The American Journal of Managed Care® (AJMC®). The article, “Overview of Diabetic Macular Edema,” gave a comprehensive look at the condition, stating that the global prevalence among individuals with type 1 or type 2 diabetes varies by geographic region, ranging from 11.4% in European countries to 45.3% in North American countries.

The National Pharmaceutical Council’s Wednesday CER Daily Newsfeed included AJMC® conference coverage from the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy Annual Meeting. The conference article “Trust Is the Key Ingredient in Medicaid Value-Based Contracts, Manufacturers and Payers Agree,” covered a session that discussed the value-based contract process in Medicaid from both the manufacturer and payer perspectives. Thursday’s newsfeed included an interview with Steven Pearson, MD, MSc, president, Institute of Clinical and Economic Review (ICER), from the conference. During the interview, Pearson discussed how ICER can provide more information when a drug is approved with limited data.
